“In 1972, a young Italian migrated to this country with dreams of becoming successful and making a name for himself; and so he did.

In 1982, he opened a little corner deli, in the Flatiron district, which he operated with the help of his family. He named it, "Milano" after what he thought was the most beautiful city in the world, next to New York City. Four years later, he opened another shop on the Upper East Side, at 1582 Third Avenue, corner of East 89th Street.

Thirty plus years later, servicing the east and west sides of Manhattan, we have established our name and continue to operate as a family business.”
